Granger Farmer’s Market The Granger Main Street Farmer’s Market meets every first and third Saturdays April through October from 10 a.m. to noon at the corner of W.

Davilla and Walton streets, Granger.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, jelly, canned and baked goods, eggs, artisan crafts and more are available.

Hutto Silos Farmer’s Market Year-round farmers market on Wednesdays with summer hours of 4-8 p.m. in the heart of downtown Hutto, 200 East St. and every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Market Co-Op, 420 Highway 79. For more, visit https://huttofarmersmarket.org/.

Second Saturday

Every second Saturday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to become familiar with shops in the downtown area.

SPJST Lodge 29 Taylor

Every Friday, SPJST Lodge 29 hosts live music and dancing and serves hamburgers in its hall at 5025 FM 619. Bands play from 7:30-11:30 p.m.

Admission is free. SPJST is a fraternal organization. Residents can purchase life insurance, annuities or other items to become a member of the SPJST. The hall is open for business Wednesdays through Sundays from 3-10 p.m.

Cotton Country Club

Every weekend, the Cotton Country Club hosts live music, dancing and dine-in service in its hall at 212 E.

Sunday bike rides

Every Sunday morning at 9 a.m., Taylor Bike Company hosts a bicycle ride, 204 N. Main St. The riding level is based on which riders show up.

Prepare for hot weather and sun exposure. Bring your bike, helmet, hat, sunglasses, tennis shoes and water bottles or a camelback. Expect hot weather and community togetherness.

Sunday Funday

Every Sunday, Black Sparrow Music Parlor will be opening their doors for fresh mimosas, cold brew and beer from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 113 W.

Second St. The stage will be open for attendees with instruments. Outside food will be allowed for this low-key community event.

Weight-loss group

The Taylor Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 1343 will have inperson meetings for their weight-loss support group Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. at Grace Place, 301 Grace Lane.

Members are recommitting to their health journeys and invite others who have struggled with their weight to join them at the meeting. Attendees should use the office entrance to Grace Place.

Taylor Rotary Club Meals on Wheels The Taylor Rotary Club delivers Meals on Wheels the third Thursday of the month at noon out of the Taylor Senior Center, Lone Star Circle of Care, 1301 W. American Legion Post 39

American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 holds monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at its post building, 1310 Sycamore St. Veterans as well as American Legion members are invited to attend. For more, call 512-7134543.

Church game nights

Taylor Area Businesswomen The Taylor Area Businesswomen’s luncheon meetings are held at noon on the fourth Tuesday of the month at Gatti’s Pizza, 2708 N. Hutto’s Got Talent

Wednesday, Nov. 8 — From 6-8 p.m., the Hutto Women’s Alliance is putting on a talent show in downtown Hutto at the Hall of Fame, 205 East St. There will be raffle baskets, vendor booths and more.

Community Breakfast

Friday, Nov. 10 — From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., the Greater Taylor Foundation will invite the community to be a part of the conversation to improve the lives of individuals and families in Taylor, First Baptist Church, 2500 Mallard Lane. The Crescendo Consulting Group will report the findings for the Taylor Community Needs Assessment.

Arbor Day

Saturday, Nov. 11 — From 9-11 a.m., Taylor Parks and Recreation is committed to the Tree City USA program to host an annual Arbor Day event in Taylor, Doak Park, 200 N. Community Thanksgiving Food Drive Sunday, Nov. 12 — From 4-5 p.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church will sponsor the Shepherd’s Heart community Thanksgiving food drive in the St.

Covert turns 25

Thursday, Nov. 16 — At 11:30 a.m., Covert Hutto will celebrate 25

years in business with a riboon cutting, 1200 US Highway 79 East, Hutto.

Music on Main

Thursday, Nov. 16 — At 7 p.m., Bogle Family Vineyard and Taylor Arts will host the alternative rock’n’roll band named The Octopus Project with Midnight Butterfly for Music on Main, Heritage Square, 400 Main St.

Stargazing party

Friday, Nov. 17 — From 7-8:30 p.m., there will be a Taylor Stargazing Party in the Taylor Regional Park North Soccer Field, enter at 210 Carlos G Parker and in the soccer field parking lot, drive as far north as you can. The event is co-hosted by three people/entities and offers thanks to surrounding areas for dimming their lights. Look out for the Taylor Stargazing Party calendar story.

Thanksgiving Meal Service Saturday, Nov. 18 — From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will provide a hot Thanksgiving meal for families at a drive or walk-up window outside of Zion Chapel, 612 E. Baseball Tournament

Walk of Fame

Saturday, Jan. 27 — From 5-10 p.m., the Hutto Chamber of Commerce will put on a red carpet event at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in the lower-level ball room, 3001 Kalahari Blvd. The event will honor outstanding businesses, organizations and citizens.
