Police to train Taylor High School Staff

During the school holiday Thursday, Oct. 12, the Taylor Police Department will provide training to the Taylor High School staff.
Police officers will begin training staff members on school safety at 9:30 a.m., a Taylor PD press release said. During this training, there will be an increased police presence visible on campus.
The police department said that sounds of simulated live gunfire, for the purpose of training, may be heard coming from within the building. However, no live ammunition will be discharged during this training.
This is a staff workday for the Taylor High School and students are not scheduled to be on campus.
Taylor High School Administrators requested this assistance from the Taylor Police Department and has been approved by Taylor Independent School District Administration.
