County Fair and Rodeo back this month

There is expected to be something for everyone at the third annual Williamson County Fair and Rodeo later this month.

The event will take place at the Williamson County Expo Center at 5350 Bill Pickett Trail in Taylor from Wednesday, Oct. 25 to Saturday, Oct. 28.

Attendees can enjoy carnival rides, rodeo, a beer and wine garden, food, pig races, a lumberjack show, a petting zoo, local craft vendors and live music, according to a county press release.

The first night of the Fair and Rodeo will have free gate admission for everyone as part of Samsung Family Night Wednesday, Oct. 25.

New this year, a junior rodeo will be held during Family Night, Oct. 25. This is the first-ever junior rodeo in Williamson County. You can also enjoy a few new attractions like the SW Dairy Farmers Education mobile, Lil Plunkett’s Circus and an Old West Comedy Gun Fight show. Thursday, Oct. 26, is Central Texas Community Foundation Veterans Night. Veterans, first responders and active military will have free admission.

On Saturday, NBC’s “The Voice” contestant and Hutto product NOIVAS will perform, followed by Memphis Kee and Mike and the Moonpies on the community stage. Then, to round out the year-long celebration of the 175th birthday of Williamson County, Aaron Watson will take the main stage at 9 p.m.
