TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

SEPT. 25

Fermin Mata, 28, of Taylor was arrested at 11:26 a.m. in the 700 block of Lizzie St. Officers responded to a report of a criminal trespass in progress. Mata was reported to be on the property after a criminal trespass warning had been previously issued against him. Officers observed Mata in the 400 block of Lizzie St and were able to make contact with him at the intersection of Sloan and W.

Second streets. Mata led officers on a foot pursuit before being apprehended. Mata was placed under arrest and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with Previous Convictions, a class A misdemeanor. Mata is still in the custody of Williamson County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

SEPT. 26

Jeffery Feldman, 36, of Taylor was arrested at 7:45 p.m. at Randy’s Ice House, 1321 W. Second St.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male. Officers located Feldman and found him to be intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamine. Feldman was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, penalty group 1 over I gram, a third-degree felony.

SEPT. 27

Elvis Jackson Jr., 17, of Taylor was arrested at 10:54 a.m. at Taylor High School, 355 FM 973. School Administrators reported a student possibly possessing narcotics to a Taylor School Resource Officer.

Investigation revealed Jackson to be in possession of two vape bars, containing an illegal amount of THC, on a school campus.

Jackson was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 more than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone, a second-degree felony.

Jackson posted bond for $10,000 and was released Sept. 28.

Charlie Barnhill, 29, of Cleveland was arrested at 5:17 p.m. in Williamson County. Officers were advised that Barnhill had been arrested on Aug. 2 by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding warrant for Theft of Property Over $2,500 but less than $30,000, a State Jail Felony.

Barnhill posted bond for $5,000 and was released Sept. 5.

SEPT. 28

Colby Englemann, 41, of Lexington was arrested at 12:30 p.m. in Lee County. Officers were advised that Englemann had been arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding Taylor PD Warrant for Theft of Property less than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a third-degree felony. Englemann is still in the custody of Williamson County Jail on a $7,500 bond.

SEPT. 29

Robert Castro, 37, of Taylor was arrested at 7:05 p.m. in the 200 block of Highland Dr. Officers responded to a suicidal person call. Investigation revealed that Castro had taken an iWatch from another person who was attempting to contact the Police for help. Castro was charged with Interference with Emergency Call, a Class A Misdemeanor. Castro posted bond for $2,000 and was released Sept.
