Taylor, Granger set for homecoming week
Taylor High School has its Homecoming court nominees. The school will crown its king and queen during halftime of the football game against Davenport Friday, Oct. 6 at the Duck Pond.
Queen nominees are Keyd Aguilar, nominated by the Class of 2024; Mariella Aguilar, nominated by the band; Melanie Badillo, nominated by color guard; Rylie Dlouhy, nominated by cheer; Bethany Elms, nominated by the Hi-Steppers; McKensie Falk, nominated by HOSA; Julianna Gonzales, nominated by tennis; and Ansley Reed, nominated by girls basketball.
King nominees are David Cazares, nominated by the soccer; Angelo Cho, nominated by Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA); Christopher Ivicic, nominated by the band; Cameron Johnson, nominated by the tennis; Matthew Pachicano, nominated by cross country; Treos Richardson, nominated by basketball; Devin Valdez, nominated by the baseball; and Alex Ramirez, nominated by the drama club.
Jerrell Roberson and Austriya Orange are junior prince and princess; Antonio Estrada and Farrah Elliott are sophomore prince and princess; and Caleb Pachicano and Shaimarie Warren are freshman prince and princess.
On Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m., the school will host its homecoming parade and pep rally. The parade will take place through Murphy Park and finish at Memorial Field.
Spectators are asked to line up around the park for the parade portion and sit on the home side of the stadium for the pep rally festivities.
Granger
Granger High School will name and honor its homecoming court at halftime during their football game against Iola Friday, Oct. 6.
Queen nominees are Jaila Rollie, Clarissa Miller and Montana Layne Moore. King nominees are Thomas Youngblood and Isaac Lizardo.
In addition to the king and queen, a duke and duchess will be named. The candidates are chosen from underclassmen.
Marcus Martinez and Kelsey Dittrich represent the juniors, Chase Joseph Selucky and Alexi Montagnino represent the sophomores and Sabian Jose Bernal and Carli Cadena represent the freshman class.
