7 shots fired into Taylor home

Shots rang out in Taylor Monday evening, although the Taylor Police Department says there is no threat to the community.

At 7:31 p.m. Feb. 21, police responded to the 1100 block of West Fourth Street for a call about shots fired. An occupied house was hit, but there were no injuries.

“About seven gun shots were fired into a window at the home,” said Chief Henry Fluck. “We have no suspects at this time, but we do have leads that we’re working.”

Police are still investigating the event as of Friday, Feb. 25. However, based on details thus far, Fluck says this was an isolated incident.

“The community is not in danger,” said Fluck. “There was one individual being targeted and I’d say as a result of a prior feud, an ongoing feud.”

Although there’s no danger to the community, Fluck recognized Tuesday night as a dangerous one.

“We’re very fortunate no one got shot or killed,” said Fluck. “We continue to work the case and we certainly hope to be able to solve it.”

The Williamson County Crime Scene Unit assisted in processing the scene.
