Art on Main Street
Calling all art-enthusiasts and bystanders alike — the centerpiece McCrory Timmerman building downtown currently has a two-story exhibit in the foyer that ends with the Closing Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 201 N. Main St.
The paintings and collages are by a group of working artists who have encouraged each other since 2008. The group is called the Gang of Five and includes five members named Linda Anderson, Beatrice Baldwin, Christopher Hynes, Ruth Lauer and Paul Sonnenberg.
Group members bring a inspirational pieces or pieces they’re stuck on, and then other members can collaboratively add depth and transition to the piece.
