THA honors Taylor medical center for 75 years

The Texas Hospital Association recently recognized Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor for its 75 years of membership in the association. THA President and CEO John Hawkins said, “Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor has reached a significant milestone, and we are grateful for your long-term membership and vast contributions to the industry.” “These past years have certainly been challenging ones, and they underscore the importance of us working together as an industry.

The Texas Hospital Association recently recognized Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor for its 75 years of membership in the association.

Founded in 1948 as Johns Community Hospital, the medical center was acquired by Scott & White Health care in 2010, later transitioning to its current name in 2013 after the merger between Scott & White and Baylor Health Care System. The critical access hospital and adjacent clinic serve the residents of Eastern Williamson County providing primary, specialty, emergency, acute and skilled nursing services.

Vice President of Operations Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor Tim Tarbell said, “We’re honored to receive this recognition from the Texas Hospital Association. Our hospital has stood in Taylor for nearly a century, making it a symbol of our community. Baylor Scott & White Health is dedicated to continuing this legacy, and we look forward to caring for our growing community in Taylor.”
