We are filled with profound sadness to share the unexpected passing of Rosanne Celeste Woollett Vichier-Guerre, a devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and a supportive friend. She departed us Sept. 7, 2023 in her birthplace, Cameron.

She was born to Ruth Estelle Matyastik and David C.T. Woollett Aug. 28, 1961. Rosanne spent her childhood in Austin, where she attended St. Austin’s Catholic School. After graduating from Austin High School, she was a part of Plan II at the University of Texas before transferring to the University of London, where she obtained a degree in Art History.

She was a true historian and an expert on art. Rosanne collected engravings by her English ancestor William Woollett, engraver, to King George III. The collection was donated to the University of Texas and is archived at the Blanton.

She cared deeply for causes across the world and instilled this passion in her children. She spent her days collecting art, nurturing her fourlegged friends, discovering treasures, exploring music and literature and staying connected with her daughters and friends around the world.

She was deeply spiritual, finding joy in every soul and beauty in the world around her. She was a source of inspiration and support to her daughters and many others and will be deeply missed.

Rosanne was mother to four daughters, Antonia Rose, Marguerite Therese, Cecilia Maria and Elisabetta Lucia; and Nanu to two grandchildren, Sage Greenberg and Amelie Krasser.

She is survived by her brother, David W.P. Woollett; sister, Felicity Woollett; aunt, Rose Snider, Jane Vorwerk, and Paul Matyastik, dear friend, Willis Wiest; and her nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life Thursday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at The Venue at Railfan, 101 E. Main St. in Cameron.
