COUPLAND — On Monday night, the Coupland Cowgirls junior high school volleyball team faced off and defeated the Gause Lady Bears in two sets, 25-9 and 25-15.
The Cowgirls were led by the eighth-grade duo of No. 3 Sarah Herring and No. 10 Becca Thomas. As a team, the girls showed a lot of promise and have set their expectations high for the season ahead.
The next game for the Coupland Cowgirls will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18 in a rematch at Gause.
