Granger Farmer’s Market The Granger Main Street Farmer’s Market meets every first and third Saturdays April through October from 10 a.m. to noon at the corner of W.

Davilla and Walton streets, Granger.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, jelly, canned and baked goods, eggs, artisan crafts and more are available.

Hutto Silos Farmer’s Market Year-round farmers market on Wednesdays with summer hours of 4 to 8 p.m. in the heart of downtown Hutto, 200 East St. and every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Market Co-Op, 420 Highway 79. For more, visit https://huttofarmersmarket.org/.

Second Saturday

Every second Saturday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to become familiar with shops in the downtown area.

SPJST Lodge 29 Taylor

Every Friday, SPJST Lodge 29 hosts live music and dancing and serves hamburgers in its hall at 5025 FM 619. Bands play from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Admission is free. SPJST is a fraternal organization. Residents can purchase life insurance, annuities or other items to become a member of the SPJST. The hall is open for business Wednesdays through Sundays from 3 to 10 p.m.

Cotton Country Club

Every weekend, the Cotton Country Club hosts live music, dancing and dine-in service in its hall at 212 E.

Sunday Bike Rides

Every Sunday morning at 9 a.m., Taylor Bike Company hosts a bicycle ride, 204 N. Main St. The riding level is based on which riders show up.

Prepare for hot weather and sun exposure. Bring your bike, helmet, hat, sunglasses, tennis shoes and water bottles or a camelback. Expect hot weather and community togetherness.

Summer Sunday

Every Sunday, Black Sparrow Music Parlor will be opening their doors for fresh mimosas, cold brew and beer from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 113 W.

Second St. The stage will be open for attendees with instruments. Outside food will be allowed for this low-key community event.

Weight-loss Group

The Taylor Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 1343 will have in-person meetings for their weight-loss support group Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. at Grace Place, 301 Grace Lane. Members are recommitting to their health journeys and invite others who have struggled with their weight to join them at the meeting. Attendees should use the office entrance to Grace Place.

Taylor Rotary Club Meals on Wheels The Taylor Rotary Club delivers Meals on Wheels the third Thursday of the month at noon out of the Taylor Senior Center, Lone Star Circle of Care, 1301 W. American Legion Post 39

American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 holds monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at its post building, 1310 Sycamore St. Veterans as well as American Legion members are invited to attend. For more, call 512-713-4543.

Church Game Nights

Taylor Area Businesswomen The Taylor Area Businesswomen’s luncheon meetings are held at noon on the fourth Tuesday of the month at Gatti’s Pizza, 2708 N. Wednesday, Sept. 13 — From 7 to 8:30 p.m., Press Start Arcade in Old Taylor High will host a pinball challenge with the theme of Elvira: House of Horrors, 410 W. Seventh St. Cost to enter is $5 and credits for up to 3 plays. First, second and third place win prizes.

Taylor Kid Fish

Saturday, Sept. 16 — From 8 to 11 a.m., Taylor Parks & Recreation will host their annual Kid Fish event at Bull Branch Park, 904 Dellinger Dr. Breakfast tacos and donuts sponsored by Atmos Energy will be available at 8 a.m., as well as registration. Fishing starts at 9 a.m.

Church Garage Sale

Saturday, Sept. 16 — From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., First United Methodist Church will host its annual Church Garage Sale open to everybody, 907 W. Lake Drive.

Thrall Street Dance

Saturday, Sept. 16 — From 6 p.m. to midnight, enjoy a small town, summertime dance with live music from Kenny Orts & the no chance band, G. Rollie Revival and The Other Band out of Thorndale. There will be some fair-type booths, burgers and beer. Proceeds go to the Thrall Volunteer Fire Department Hall and local ESD #10 firefighters. Free admission.

Dinner with the Taylor Band Monday, Sept. 18 — From 5 to 8 p.m., The Taylor Duck Band & Guard will perform at Mr. Gatti’s in Taylor and part of the meals’ profit goes to fundraising for the band, 2708 N. Main St.

Church Day Trip to Brenham Wednesday, Sept. 20 — New Sweden Evangelical Lutheran Church will host a day trip to Brenham. More information is coming soon.

SPAY-ghetti Dinner & Dance 2023 Saturday, Sept. 23 — From 5 to 9 p.m., Taylor SPJST Lodge 29 will host the 3rd annual Texas Critter Crusaders SPAY-ghetti Dinner & Dance, 5025 FM 619. Proceeds go toward TCC’s mission to provide medical and preventative care to local animals at Taylor Animal Shelter. Dine-in and full event tickets are $30. To go meal tickets are $20.

SPJST BBQ Cook-Off

10th Annual Main Street Car Show Saturday, Oct. 28 — From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visit the largest car show in central Texas in downtown Taylor hosted by Main Street Car Show. Guests can peruse downtown shops and cool off with cold drinks.

Tickets are $17.
