Roaring Royalty

THRALL – At halftime of the Thrall football game, a new royal regime took the spotlight as the 2023 Homecoming king and queen were crowned. Steven Walker was named king, while Melania Grissom was named queen.

THRALL – At halftime of the Thrall football game, a new royal regime took the spotlight as the 2023 Homecoming king and queen were crowned.

Steven Walker was named king, while Melania Grissom was named queen.

Grissom is the daughter of Russell and Bethany Grissom. She has been involved in varsity volleyball for four years, where she is the captain of the 2023-2024 volleyball team, 2022-2023 MVP Volleyball Player, a member of the Texas Fury Volleyball Club Team all four years, and was a part of the teams that qualified for state two years. She has also been involved in varsity track and field for four years, and is a two year state qualifier, FCA member and a member of the Tiger Yearbook for two years. Grissom enjoys dancing, singing before volleyball games with friends, going to the beach and working out.

Walker, is the son of Elijah and Katina Flournoy-Walker. He has participated in varsity cross country, band and has been a FCA member for all four years. He also plays varsity basketball, varsity tennis for three years, varsity football, varsity track and field, and has been a member of the yearbook staff for two years, and is a Tiger Yearbook Reference Editor.


The 2023 Thrall Homecoming King and Queen are Steven Walker and Melania Grissom.
