Thank God for friends

“It’s pretty hard to feel better when you’re out of medicine and too fatigued to move around. Luckily, my good friend Jennifer Barker Lombard checked in on me and asked if I needed anything. She sent medicine and groceries to my front door and went above and beyond. I’m blessed to have amazing friends like that. Thank you so much.”

“About a month ago, I went through Starbucks drive through and between the menu/ order board and the pick up window, I realized I had put my phone in my purse and forgotten my purse at home. I was going to dip out of the line, but I figured that would make me a real ( jerk), so, when I got to the window, I told the girl I had absolutely no money. She said, ‘well, don’t you worry, you’re not the first person that’s happened to,’ and she gave me my order anyway.

I felt like a total jerk. I told her I’d come back that afternoon and pay, and she said I absolutely didn’t need to do that.

I was looking around my truck and spotted a Harry Pottery trading pin, and I picked it up and told her I’d gladly trade it for my order.

She was absolutely thrilled. She said, ‘Oh my gosh. I love Harry Potter,’ and she thanked me. I think it was a great day for both of us.”

“Got a visit today from my State Representative Caroline Harris. First time to ever have a sitting state representative visit the constables’ office to see how we were doing, and to tell us thank you for serving the people of her district so well. She made my day.”
