Some of the fun things that happen at the Chamber’s Trades Day Career Fair are the mock interviews that give students an opportunity to gain a feel of what it feels like in the interview chair.
“Back in 2020, our interviewers had such a good time visiting with students and giving them interview tips,” Chamber President Tia Rae Stone said.
Trade Day Career Fair is set 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for Wednesday, March 2, at the Williamson County Expo Center.
Stone added that they have list of questions that can facilitate the interview and that many more people are needed to fill the expected need for mock interviewers.
“If anyone has time to help us on Wednesday, we would welcome their assistance for an hour or for the whole event,” Stone said.
School districts, and homeschooled students from across the area are invited to attend. The last Trades Day held in 2020, saw 800 students come to Taylor to learn that jobs in everything from plumbing and advanced manufacturing (the types of workers Samsung will need) to law enforcement and medical technology, offer jobs with excellent earning potential and benefits.
