Thrall announces Homecoming hopefuls

THRALL – The 2023 Homecoming King and Queen candidates have been announced. They were nominated by Thrall High School seniors. The king and queen will be announced during halftime of the Homecoming game against Florence, Friday, Sept. 8.
Thrall High School announces Homecoming hopefuls

THRALL – The 2023 Homecoming King and Queen candidates have been announced. They were nominated by Thrall High School seniors. The king and queen will be announced during halftime of the Homecoming game against Florence, Friday, Sept. 8.

Homecoming Queen nominees are Melaina Grissom, Talia Yanez, Karly Pesantes and Avery Koonce.

King nominees are Rylan West, Steven Flournoy-Walker, Tyler Bonkowski and Michael Machala.

As a part of Homecoming, students will have an opportunity to show their school spirit with activities throughout the week.

Tuesday’s theme was “Dress as White Lies,” and students wore white T-shirts with words that were the opposite of what they meant.

Fan Wednesday called for everyone to dress like their favorite celebrity. Sport Thursday, students are encouraged to sport their Nike gear to school.

Friday, Homecoming, is Purple Out to Stampede the Buffalos. Students and staff are encouraged to wear purple to support the home team.

A pep rally will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the high school gym. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
