TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

JULY 4

Michael Lewis, 46, of Taylor, at 12:27 a.m., Taylor officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Commercial Drive. Investigation revealed Lewis to be intoxicated. Lewis was arrested for driving while intoxicated w/ open container, a class B misdemeanor.

Lewis received a PR bond for $2,000 and was released the same day.

Gerald Penson, 45, of Taylor, at 8:59 am., officers responded to the 300 block of East 8th Street regarding a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed that Penson physically assaulted a member of the household, causing an injury. Penson was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury/ family violence with previous convictions, a third-degree felony.

Penson is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail bonds that total $40,366.60.

JULY 6

Galilea Luna, 49, of Taylor, at 7:08 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Gano in reference to a disturbance.

Investigation revealed that Luna had committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. Luna was arrested on scene. Galilea is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $40,000 bond.

JULY 7

David Stoglin, 64, of Taylor, at 8:17 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Porter regarding a criminal trespass in progress. Investigation revealed that Stoglin was on a property without permission of the owner and had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning. Stoglin was arrested for criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor.

Stoglin is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail with a $2,000 bond.

Christina James, 41, of Taylor, at 8:26 p.m., James was taken into custody by the Hutto Police Department regarding charges associated with an incident having occurred in their jurisdiction.

An outstanding warrant for driving while license invalid/ enhanced, a class B misdemeanor, from the Taylor Police Department was also served at that time. James is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

JULY 11

Jason Williams, 47, of Taylor, at 3:45 p.m., at 800 block of Randall Street, officers arrived and served arrest warrant for criminal mischief, impair or interrupt public service – less than $30,000.00, a state jail felony. Williams was arrested for the outstanding warrant.

Williams posted bond for $5,000 and was released July 14.

JULY 12

Dakota Scott, 27, of Round Rock, at 8:05 p.m., at 500 block of Lenora Drive, officers arrived and served arrest warrant for theft over $100 under $750, a class B misdemeanor.

Scott was arrested for the outstanding warrant. Scott is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $20,000.

Cui Long, 49, of Taylor, at 12:52 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for disregarding a flashing red light. A probable cause search for narcotics was conducted and found Long to be in possession of 4.55 grams of methamphetamine. Long was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, more than 4 grams, less than 200 grams, a second- degree felony.

JULY 13

Ricardo Lopez, 63, of Taylor, at 3:55 p.m., Lopez was taken into custody at the Taylor Police Department, 500 S.

Main St., for an outstanding parole violation warrant.

Lopez is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail.

JULY 14

Hugo Peinado-Valenzuela, 62, of Taylor, at 8 p.m., at 300 block of Hosack Street, officers responded to a disturbance. Investigation revealed Peinado-Valenzuela had assaulted a family member. Peinado-Valenzuela was arrested for assault causing bodily injury – family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

Charges against Peinado-Valenzuela were dismissed and he was released July 23.

Dakota Scott, 27, of Round Rock, at 9:26 a.m., outstanding Taylor warrant for debit/ credit card abuse, a state jail felony, was served on Scott who was in the custody of the Williamson County Jail for unrelated charges. Scott is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $20,000.

JULY 15

Troy Hogan, 23, of Taylor, at 7:57 p.m., at 200 block of Dolan Avenue, officers responded to a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Officers located the vehicle which pulled in a driveway in the 100 block of Talley Street. Investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen and the driver was identified as Hogan who was taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony.

Hogan is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Geneva Garza, 45, of Taylor, at 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of East Martin Luther King Boulevard. Investigation revealed that Garza was acting suspicious and when an employee observed her with a tool belonging to the business, he asked that she return it and Garza began trying to hit the employee with the tool. The employee was struck and sustained an injury to his hand. Another employee was also struck in the hands and sustained minor injuries.

Garza was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a seconddegree felony. Garza is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail o a $10,000 bond.

JULY 16

Leornardo Herrera, 39, of Taylor, at 12:55 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Sloan Street in reference to a criminal trespass. Herrera had been previously issued a criminal trespass warning for the property and violated it by returning. Herrera was taken into custody for criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor. Herrera is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

JULY 17

James Faglie Jr., 20, of Lockhart, at 11:15 p.m., at 1400 block of Jones Street, officers responded to a disturbance.

Investigation revealed that Faglie had assaulted another person in the residence. Faglie was arrested for assault causing bodily injury – family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

Faglie posted bond for $2,00 and was released the same day.

JULY 18

Ramon Martinez, 23, of Temple, at 4:16 p.m., at FM 973 at Carlos G. Parker Blvd.

Officers responded to a disturbance that resulted after a traffic collision. Investigation revealed Martinez had an outstanding warrant from Bell County for possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.

Martinez was taken into custody. Martinez posted bond for $750 and was released July 18.

JULY 19

Jose Gonzalez, 23, of Taylor, at 9:53 p.m., at 100 block of N. Main Street, officers responded to a welfare concern regarding a male subject standing on top of the pedestrian bridge fencing.

Gonzalez was instructed to get down by Officers which he did. Gonzalez then fled on foot from Officers. After several blocks, Officers caught and detained Gonzalez and believed him to be under the influence of narcotics.

Gonzales was arrested for evading arrest/detention on foot, a class A misdemeanor.

Gonzales received a PR bond for $3,000 and was released July 19.

JULY 21

Rudy Cruz-Ramirez, 26, of Taylor, at 10:55 p.m., at 200 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, an officer was flagged down by a victim who advised that he was in that area and a red colored vehicle drove by at a high rate of speed and the victim yelled for them to slow down. The vehicle then came back and the driver pointed a handgun at him. The vehicle was identified driving by again while the officer was present.

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of West Martin Luther King and South Main St. Cruz-Ramirez was a passenger in the vehicle and found to be in possession of a handgun. Cruz-Ramirez was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony. Cruz-Ramirez I still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

Leonel Ortiz, 21, of Taylor, Ortiz was the driver of the vehicle listed above and was also found in possession of a separate firearm.

Investigation revealed Ortiz was the one who pointed the firearm at the victim. Ortiz was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. Ortiz posted bond for $20,000 and was released July 22

JULY 22

Mario Garcia, 55, of Taylor, at 8:04 p.m., at 1600 block of Veteran’s Drive, officers conducted a traffic stop for reckless driving. Investigation revealed Garcia to be intoxicated while driving. Garcia was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. Garcia posted bond for $1,000 and was released July 23.

JULY 23

Jose Martinez, 46, of Taylor, at 8:43 p.m., at 300 block of South Doak Street, officers responded to a disturbance.

While officers were investigating, Martinez began to flee on foot. An officer gave chase and as Martinez slammed the door causing the officer’s arm to go through the window.

The officer sustained injuries to his arm. After refusing to come out for approximately 30 minutes, Martinez was taken into custody for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury to a public servant, a first-degree felony.

Martinez posted bond for $100,000.
