In an effort to connect Taylor area residents to open positions in the area, the Taylor Chamber of Commerce, city of Taylor and Workforce Solutions are joining forces to connect jobs to job seekers, by hosting a Hiring Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at the Taylor Public Library, 801 Vance St.

“Employers look to us to connect them to qualified talent and job fairs have proven to do just that,” said Tia Rae Stone, president and CEO of the Chamber. “When employers come to this event, they are not just coming to meet and greet, they have open positions that they need to fill, and that’s what this job fair is all about.”

The job fair will feature area employers seeking candidates for current job openings.

Job seekers who attend the job fair will get an opportunity to speak with prospective employers and gather information directly from representatives in health care, architecture, non-profit, government, manufacturing and a variety of other industry sectors. Jobs range from entry level to professional.

Individuals attending the fair in hopes of securing employment should come professionally dressed with copies of their current resume or job history.

Employer booths are free and filling up quickly. All employers interested in attending can register through the Chamber by calling 512-352-6364 or emailing [email protected].

This event is free for everyone and open to all businesses, not just Chamber members.
