Opening Day
July — Date to be determined. The new Second Street Station will have a grand opening event as they take over the corner of Second and Main Street where Texas Beer Company used to be. There will be live music from 5 to 8 p.m. and a DJ from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., 201 N. Main St. The location will have a kitchen open late, draft beer and Texas branded spirits. Pre-Fourth of July Microchips
Saturday, July 1 — From 8 to 11 a.m., Texas Critter Crusaders will offer free microchips at the Bull Branch Park Pavilion, between the boardwalk and pavilion. According to TCC, more pets get lost during this holiday than any other, and microchips serve as permanent identification and proof of ownership. The event is open to everyone. Street Millings Day
Saturday, July 1 — From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the city of Taylor will provide residents and business owners with recycled asphalt aggregate to help patch alleyways and private property. Materials will be distributed at the Public Works Fire Field off E. MLK Jr. Boulevard. Attendees are required to show their driver’s license and a current City of Taylor water utility bill. Taylor Market Days
Saturday, July 1 — From 6 to 10 p.m., avoid the heat with a vintage summer night market hosted by Taylor Market Days, 410 W. Seventh St. Admission is free. There will be over 50 curated vendors, indoor and outdoor live music and pets are allowed.
Rockabilly Movie Night
Monday, July 3 — Every Monday from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., Rockabilly Brewing will host family-friendly movie nights for a Summer Movie Series, 1133 CR 137, Hutto. There may be one or two PG-13 movies.
Taylor Fourth of July
Tuesday, July 4 — Promptly starting at 9 a.m., the American Legion, Graham D. Luhn Post 39 will host a parade starting at Old Taylor High, 410 W. Seventh St., and heading north on Davist street. The parade line up will start at 8 a.m. The parade will end with the raising of the flag and an ice cream social at the American Legion Hall, 1310 Sycamore St. The Derailers will play live music starting at 7 p.m. and fireworks will begin at dusk. Hutto Fourth of July
Tuesday, July 4 — The city of Hutto will host their July 4 celebration from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater, 1001 CR 137, Hutto. The family-friendly event will have live music, food trucks and kids’ activities. A fireworks display will end the night’s festivities. Rockabilly Brewing Fourth of July
Tuesday, July 4 — Rockabilly Brewing will host a celebration with around 10 artisan vendors on-site and a food truck, 1133 CR 137, Hutto. A firework show will be displayed next door to the property. For more, contact 512-595-4288.
