Samuel Ferman Stancil, known to his loved ones as Sam, passed away June 17, 2023, in Taylor, at the age of 55. Sam was born November 28, 1967, in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a beloved son, brother, father, friend and a cherished member of his family.
Sam attended Taylor High School, graduating with the class of 1987.
Sam was a gentle, kind and loving soul, who was very familyoriented. His main focus and love in life was his family. He would go above and beyond to make sure that his loved ones had what they needed and more.
Sam was always there for his family, attending each of their important events, whether it be baseball games, basketball games, football games, religious events or just to stop by and visit. He was a great son, a great brother, a great dad, and most importantly, a great friend to all. He was so kind and gave much to others without expecting anything in return.
There was never a day that you would see Sam upset or in a bad mood, because simply, he wasn’t that type of person. He always wanted to make sure that his family would see him at his best.
Sam loved to be surrounded by his family, whether it be during meals, parties or just stopping by for a visit.
Most often times he would go to dinner with his family just to catch up and to be in their company.
Although his loss has saddened us, we will always remember the good times.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Robert Stancil.
Sam is survived by his mother, Dorthy Carol Stancil (Cantrell); his sister, Elaine Gonzales (Ceasar); his sons, Samuel Trey Stancil, Alex Justin Ramirez and Johnny Reyna Jr.; his daughter, Jennifer Reyna Moreno; his special friend, Juanita Herrera; his niece, Alisha Gonzales (Eugene); nephews, Ceasar Gonzales Jr. and Robert Gonzales; his grandchildren, Juan Moreno, Esmeralda Moreno and Jesus Moreno.
Sam will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
