Students play in spring recital

Anita Volek presented her 37th annual spring piano recital Monday evening, May 22, in the Worship Center of First Baptist Church in Taylor. The evening featured a variety of piano solos and duets ranging from pop and movie themes to classical selections.

Anita Volek presented her 37th annual spring piano recital Monday evening, May 22, in the Worship Center of First Baptist Church in Taylor.

The evening featured a variety of piano solos and duets ranging from pop and movie themes to classical selections.

Students participating in the recital included Elsa Anderson, Demi Dahlberg, Fiona Dahlberg, Solomon Eiben, Sophia-Rae Eiben, Vivian Eiben, Juliette Havens, Allison Mahmood, Luke Manuel, J. D. Morgan, Grace Philhower, Fen Reeves, Lera Rost, Gray Talavera and Zane Talavera.

Also participating in the recital were Jacob Geske and Jace Wilkins, who are students of Debbie Matthys.

Zane Talavera, a senior at Taylor High School, was congratulated on his upcoming graduation and wished the best as he continues his education at the University of Texas.
