TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

FEB. 9

John Shelton, 41, of Taylor, at 7:04 p.m., in the 300 block of Park St., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Shelton physically restrained a member of the household, preventing them from leaving. Shelton also took the victim’s phone while the victim was calling 911 for help. Shelton was arrested and charged with unlawful restraint, a class A misdemeanor, and Interference with emergency call, a class A misdemeanor.

Shelton posted bond for a total of $5,000 and was released Feb. 10.

FEB. 13

Doris Moreno, 36, of Taylor at 7:29 p.m., in the 1000 block of Cottonbowl Dr., officers apprehended Moreno, who had an outstanding warrant for possession of controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.
