THRALL – Miranda Richter was one of the biggest reasons why the Thrall Tigerettes were able to have a successful season this year, and now she will be playing in an allstar game.
On June 3 at 3 p.m., at Schulenburg High School, Richter will play against some of the best players in the state and get a chance to showcase her talent and leadership.
Richter was one of the few seniors on the Tigerettes’ basketball team this season, and they relied heavily on her throughout the ups and downs of the season. She was a leader in the classroom, locker room and, of course, the court.
The Tigerettes are loaded with talent, mostly freshmen and sophomores, who looked to Richter to set the standard. Not only did she help guide some of them through their first varsity season, but she also showed them what it took to be a high-level studentathlete. Richter was not only a top player for the Tigerettes this season but was also a model student.
Richter showed the young ladies on the team that you can be one of the best players in the state while also achieving academic success.
Richter was a force on the interior for the Tigerettes, being a team and district leader when it came to rebounds and freethrow percentage. She did not show up on the score sheet as much as her teammates, but what she lacked in offensive production, she more than made up for in playing the game the right way and being an outstanding teammate.
