Impacting lives through public education

“I felt a calling to work with teenagers while I was working for an adoption agency in North Texas,” Smith said. “With a lot of guidance and prayer, I decided the best way to impact lives was through public education.”

Smith’s advice for successful teaching is to not sweat the small stuff.

“When working with kids, it’s easy to get caught up in all the things that could be better, like behavior or lesson plans,” Smith said. “But at the end of the day, all they want is to be seen and loved.”
