Mania season

The Taylor Educational Enrichment (TEE) Foundation awarded 18 grants to 15 teachers totaling $27,221.99 during their annual Mallard Mania event. The celebratory parade led by the Taylor High School drum line and cheerleaders traveled through the hallways of four campuses to present giant checks to excited recipients and their students.

The Taylor Educational Enrichment (TEE) Foundation awarded 18 grants to 15 teachers totaling $27,221.99 during their annual Mallard Mania event. The celebratory parade led by the Taylor High School drum line and cheerleaders traveled through the hallways of four campuses to present giant checks to excited recipients and their students.

The 2023 grant recipients from TH Johnson Elementary were Janet Gauna, Leah Melton, Felicia Robertson, Melody Martin, Lauren Jaecks and Megan Moss. Taylor High School’s recipients were Jean Barnett, Catherine Collins and Jason Angco-Barrera. Recipients from Naomi Pasemann Elementary were Julie Snyder and Jenna Anderson. Recipients from Taylor Middle School were Renee DeHoyos, Jo Anna McGinnis, Brianna Perry, Emily Gazeley, Jared Perry, Sonja Snow, Kale McQuillin, Larry Safarik and Olivia Clifford.

All teachers in Taylor ISD are encouraged to apply for TEE Foundation grants to fund creative and innovative classroom projects. Grants are funded through community support for fundraising events such as Food Dudes and Purse Bingo.
