Dr. Dickey honored at Taylor Middle

The Taylor Middle School Black History Month Club presented a program for the entire school on Feb. 28. The theme of the program was “Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present and Preparing for the Future.” The program included a special tribute to the memory of Dr. James L. Dickey, a local physician, humanitarian and civil rights advocate.

The Taylor Middle School Black History Month Club presented a program for the entire school on Feb. 28. The theme of the program was “Honoring the Past, Embracing the Present and Preparing for the Future.” The program included a special tribute to the memory of Dr. James L. Dickey, a local physician, humanitarian and civil rights advocate.

Lanayya Drum and Dance performed for the audience, and students performed tributes to honor African American inventors, scientists and political figures.
