Hutto Silos Farmers Market Year-round farmers market on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 420 U.S. 79, in the Hutto Co-op District behind the Cotton Gin in Hutto. Parking is in front of Hutto City Hall. For more information, call 512-846-3349.

Granger Farmers Market

Fresh fruits, vegetables, jelly, canned and baked goods, eggs, artisan crafts and more will be at the Granger Main Street Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays from April through October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of W. Davilla and Walton streets in Granger.

Third Thursday

Every third Thursday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open 5 - 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.

American Legion Post 39

American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 holds monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at its post building, 1310 Sycamore St. within Murphy Park, Taylor. Veterans as well as American Legion members are invited to attend. For more information, call 512-713-4543.

SPJST Lodge 29 Taylor

Every Friday, SPJST Lodge 29 hosts live music and dancing and serves hamburgers at its hall at 5025 FM 619. Bands play from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m. Admission is free. SPJST is a fraternal organization. Residents can purchase life insurance, annuities or other items to become a member of the SPJST. The hall is open for business Wednesdays through Sundays from 3 - 10 p.m.

Taylor Area Businesswomen The Taylor Area Businesswomen’s luncheon meetings are held at noon on the fourth Tuesday of the month at Gatti’s Pizza, 2708 N. Main St.

All current, former and interested businesswomen are invited to attend.

Weight-loss Group

The Taylor Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 1343 will have in-person meetings of their weight-loss support group Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. at Grace Place, 301 Grace Lane. Members are recommitting to their health journeys and invite others who have struggled with their weight to join them at the meeting. Attendees should use the office entrance to Grace Place.

Taylor Public Library Plant Swap Saturday, March 25 — From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Friends of the Taylor Public Library will host a free plant swap for all ages and kids get a free plant at the library, 801 Vance St.

Taylor Public Library Sweet 16 Tuesday, March 28 — From 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., the Taylor Public Library invites people to bring their sweet tooth to their 16th birthday celebration at 801 Vance St.

Curio Mrvosa Book Gang

Wednesday, April 12 — At 7 p.m in Good Strangers Coffee Shop every second Wednesday of the month at 114 W 2nd St. Curio Mrvosa Book Gang meets for their monthly gathering, a book club with a twist. Each month has a different theme, and everyone brings their favorite book within that theme to recommend to the whole gang.

Taylor Blackland Prairie Days Saturday, May 6 — From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Taylor celebrate Taylor’s rich cultural heritage hosted by the Czech Melody Masters. The event will feature horticultural speakers and demonstrations, arts and crafts vendors, food booths, children’s activities and live entertainment.
