Deadline approaching for county art contest

WILCO – Students in Williamson County have less than two weeks left to submit their entries for an art contest held in conjunction with Williamson County’s 175th Birthday Celebration, presented by the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, Williamson County and the Williamson Museum.

WILCO – Students in Williamson County have less than two weeks left to submit their entries for an art contest held in conjunction with Williamson County’s 175th Birthday Celebration, presented by the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, Williamson County and the Williamson Museum.

Students from third to 10th grade are being asked to design an 8.5” X 11” poster to represent the county as it celebrates its 175th birthday. The art contest is being sponsored by the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation.

The deadline for students is March 20. One winner from each county precinct in grades three through five will receive $100 with a grand prize of $150. One winner from each county precinct in grades six through eight will receive $150 with a grand prize of $200. Lastly, one winner from each county precinct grades nine and 10 will receive $250 with a grand prize of $300. Winners will be announced by the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation by April 20.
