Veronica (Ronnie) Gayle Gola Kaatz, age 77, of Leander, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.
Veronica was born in Taylor, March 23, 1945, to the late Fred Vince and Angelee Marie Gola.
She graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She married Frank Kaatz Jr.
June 6, 1964. They were married for 46 years.
She worked as an admin for Williamson County for 15 years.
Veronica enjoyed crafting, sewing, playing bingo and spending time with her grandkids.
Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kaatz Jr.; her son, Kevin Lee Kaatz; parents Fred V. and Angelee Gola; and in-laws Frank and Edna Kaatz Sr.
Veronica is survived by four children, sons Michael and wife Dawn Kaatz of Caldwell, Todd Kaatz of Thrall, and Troy Kaatz of Rockdale; daughter, Robin and Matt Shelton of Leander; one brother, Fredy and Mary Nell Gola of Taylor; and one sister, Angeleen and Clifford Mucha of Leander; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three nieces, three nephews and other family and friends.
A visitation for Veronica was held Friday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor. A rosary occurred Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in Taylor.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. at Taylor City Cemetery.
