The Thrall Tigerettes (7-5-2) played in their final tournament of the season over the weekend. The Tigerettes split their four games in the threeday event.

On Thursday, Thrall opened the tournament taking on the Killeen Shoemaker Lady Gray Wolves. Shoemaker jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the third and turned back the Tigerettes 6-2, despite five Lady Wolf errors.

Shoemaker limited the Tigerettes to three hits, one each by Dani Birran, Bri Jarosek, and Ashlyn Jarosek. Thrall scored both of its runs in the bottom half of the third inning. Birran reached on a two-out single to left and Raelynn Johnson reached on an error to put runners at first and second. Ashlyn Jarosek’s single to center allowed both runners to score, cutting the lead to 5-2, but Thrall could get no closer.

In their first game Friday, the Tigerettes raced out to a 5-0 lead on the Anderson Lady Trojans, but Anderson rallied with three runs in the first and four in the second and posted a 9-6 win. Mikayla Velesquez and Riley Luton led the Tigerettes, each with a pair of hits.

Thrall took advantage of a pair of Anderson errors with the bases full of Tigerettes in the first. Back-to-back errors allowed Velesquez, Neveah Irvin, and Luton to score, after they led off the inning with doubles and a walk. The final two Tigerette runs came in when Ashlyn Jarosek and Johnson scored on fly balls.

The Tigerettes finished the day Friday with a 7-1 win over the Rockdale Lady Tigers. Thrall had 13 hits against the Lady Tigers, including Johnson’s third homerun of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth. Johnson finished the game with three hits for Thrall, while Ashlyn Jarosek, Bri Jarosek, and Autree Kelm each knocked out two hits.

In their final game of the tournament, Thrall scored 13 runs in the bottom of the second inning and rolled to a 16-1 win over the Pflugerville Connally Lady Cougars. Nine different Tigerettes hit safely in the game, led by Miley Pokorny’s two hits. Thrall finished the game with 10 hits, while Connally was held to just three.
