HUTTO – A Hutto teen charged with murder in a fatal Hutto shooting that left another person injured remained behind bars Tuesday night.
Stephfon Autry, 18, is in the Williamson County Jail in lieu of posting a $500,000 bond, according to investigators.
He was arrested on a warrant Monday Feb. 13 .
According to Hutto police, the case unfolded about 3 p.m. Jan. 31 as officers responded to a report of shots fired on Cassandra Drive in the Lakeside Estates neighborhood.
Police said they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and one of the victims died, officers said.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim of the fatal shooting was Diego Turcios, 17, of Austin. The other victim has not been identified.
The investigation is continuing, officials said.
A funeral mass for Turcios was held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow in Austin.
