Spreading good news

Recently, we have dealt with an ice storm, which caused damage all over the city. In addition to neighbors helping neighbors recover, we have had other moments of kindness.

Recently, we have dealt with an ice storm, which caused damage all over the city. In addition to neighbors helping neighbors recover, we have had other moments of kindness.

Here are some posted on the Good News Taylor Made Facebook page:

“Y’all, we really do have some great people here in Taylor! Thursday, I went to El Coral with a friend for breakfast. A gentleman paid our bill.

I don’t know his name, but it was nice! Then, this morning, I saw a Taylor ISD bus pulled over to help someone change their tire!”

— Tracy Winters Roman “Thank you to the person who just bought my Starbucks coffee this afternoon. Super sweet, and I will pass it on next time I have someone sitting in line behind me!”

— Kerri Bennight “Quick highlight of a local business doing good in our neighborhood.

Taylor’d Turfs sent out a couple of guys, Jordan and Lorenzo, to help clean up damaged limbs along Carlos G Parker.

They have been helping out here a few days at least between paying jobs. Greg Speer and I were able to chat with them briefly and help for a few minutes. I talked to the owner, Nick, and he said they were trying to help everybody out in town.”

— James Foster

It may seem like these are small things, but they are great feats of kindness. Even when we recognize the kindness in situations such as the ice storm, we must also remember the smaller, sometimes unnoticed acts of kindness. No matter how small, any act of kindness is great.

Please tell us about the little things that made your day. Let us know who needs a shoutout.

You can either send it to Taylor Press, 211 W.

Third Street or post on our Good News Taylor Made Facebook Page.

Always remember there is goodness everywhere and kindness matters.
