Larry Eugene Luckey was born July 6,1950 to Lillie Mae Edwards and Jimmy Luckey in Corpus Christi. He passed away Jan.

Larry Eugene Luckey was born July 6,1950 to Lillie Mae Edwards and Jimmy Luckey in Corpus Christi. He passed away Jan. 17, 2022, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.

Larry Eugene Luckey moved to Oakland, California as a teenager and resided there for over 40 years. Larry loved California. However, his desire was to eventually retire and move to Africa.

Larry Eugene Luckey worked for over 30 years in the security profession and loved his career. He loved meeting people and was a stranger to no one.

Larry was the most kindhearted man that you would ever meet. He always had a smile on his face and a hello to everyone he met. He loved his entire family and would go out of his way to help anyone that was in need.

He was a man of many talents, a poet, artist and a photographer. He was an educated and intelligent man who had a passion for traveling the world and loved sharing stories and beautiful pictures of his trips to Egypt, Africa.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Mae Martin and Jimmie Luckey; and his beloved baby sister, Rhonda Hornsby.

Larry leaves a great legacy to cherish his memories his children, Oronde Luckey and April Clabourne (Denero Legrande); eight grandchildren, Kimani, Amaya, Anniya, Zariya, Carter, Jayla, Michaela and Mason; sisters; Linda Luckey and Brenda Hornsby Kimble; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins along with many other special relatives and friends.
