January was School Board Recognition Month, and Taylor ISD celebrated its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students.
The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month was “Forward, Together,” which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers and parents on behalf of students.
Each campus in Taylor ISD adopted a school board member to invite to the school for special events. Trustees were also recognized at the January board meeting.
Taylor ISD Board of Trustees are Marco Ortiz, President; Shorty Mitchell, Vice President; Cheryl Carter, Secretary; Anita Volek, Assistant Secretary; Marilyn Tennill, James Buzan and Joseph Meller.
