Antonio Lopez Castro, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Thrall on the morning of Jan. 25, 2023.
He was born Feb. 21, 1932, to his parents, Apolinar and Natalia Castro. During his 90 years on Earth, he fought in the Korean War serving for the U.S.
Army, he retired from Chrysler assembly work, and he had an extended family that loved him dearly.
Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Apolinar and Natalia Castro; brothers, Joe, Daniel, Manuel, Juvenal, Thomas, Lionzo and Jesse Castro; sister, Rosie Mendoza; and Antonio Lopez Castro son, Carlos Castro.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Castro; sons, Fernando Castro and Conrad Castro; daughters, Liza Wolfe, Linda Sebena and Lydia Gonzales; sisters, Lupe Carrizales and Virginia Arzola; grandchildren, Jonathan, Anthony, Eddie Jr., Eric, Leandra, Aileen, Alexandra and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, inlaws and other friends and family.
Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 2, from 9 to 10 a.m. with recitation of holy rosary during that time at Our Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor.
Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial followed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
