LADY DUCKS DOWN, BUT NOT OUT The Taylor girls’ basketball team traveled to Burnet this past Saturday after cold weather delayed their game on Friday night. The Lady Ducks failed to take down the undefeated Lady Bulldogs falling 56-35.

LADY DUCKS DOWN, BUT NOT OUT

The Taylor girls’ basketball team traveled to Burnet this past Saturday after cold weather delayed their game on Friday night. The Lady Ducks failed to take down the undefeated Lady Bulldogs falling 56-35.

Taylor and Burnet were close knit as the opening quarter came to a close. The Lady Bulldogs held slim a three-point advantage over the Lady Ducks, 13-10.

By halftime Burnet had extended their lead heading into the locker room up 23-16 on Taylor.

Taylor held close and stayed within ten points after three quarters, but still trailed the Lady Bulldogs 35-26.

The Lady Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter taking down the Lady Ducks by 21.

Ansley Reed led Taylor with 12 points. Destiny Jones added five points and led with seven total rebounds for the Lady Ducks.

Sophia Fisher added six points and led with five assists. Kionayh Rivers added five points and along with Fisher and Lewis had two steals.

The Lady Ducks played in a play in game against Lake Belton for the fourthplace position on Saturday.

As for the regular season the Lady Ducks wrap with a current record of 10-19 overall and 2-6 in district play. The lady Ducks were 5-6 at home, 2-8 on the road and 3-5 in neutral site contests.

DUCKS BLANK TITANS

The Taylor boys soccer team were in home game action on Monday, Feb. 7 and came away with a shutout victory over Manor new Tech 6-0. Junior Ty Silverthorn led Taylor with two goals in the game.

LADY DUCKS PLUCK MANOR NT

The Taylor girls soccer team took to the road and came away with 3-0 shutout win over the Manor New Tech Lady Titans on Monday.
