TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

JAN. 9

Kevin Kosthia, 51, of Taylor, at 6:51 p.m., in the 232500 block of US 79, officers arrested Kosthia and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor.

JAN. 10

Esmerelda Alderete, 19, of Taylor, at 4:11 p.m., in the 2200 block of Jason Dr., deputies from the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force apprehended Alderete, who had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for murder, a first-degree felony. On Dec. 12, shortly after 7 p.m., officers responded to a medical call in the 1400 block of Jones Street in which lifesaving measures were being administered. An investigation revealed Alderete fired a gunshot at the victim, resulting in his death.

Taylor detectives, in consultation with the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office, were able to obtain a probable cause warrant for the arrest of Alderete. Alderete is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

JAN. 11

Ricardo Reyes, 55, of Taylor, at 8:11 p.m., in the 400 block of E. Fourth St., officers arrested Reyes and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. Reyes posted bond for $2,500 and was released Jan. 12.

JAN. 12

Adam Ramirez, 19, of Taylor, at 1:17 a.m., in the 300 block of Gano St., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person. An investigation revealed Ramirez physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. Ramirez was arrested and charged with assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

Ramirez was convicted and released Jan. 26

JAN. 13

Shermetri Dilworth, 32, of Taylor, at 1:07 p.m., in the 300 block of W. Lake Dr., officers apprehended Dilworth, who had an outstanding warrant for credit/debit card abuse, a state jail felony. There was no action or prosecution and Dilworth was released the same day.

Jennifer Kruse, 39, of Taylor, at 3:10 p.m., 500 block of Burkett St. officers responded to a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Kruse intentionally damaged property at two different locations. Kruse was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor. Kruse was still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

Derek Mercer, 32, of Taylor, at 7:11 p.m., at Prince Food Mart, 1101 N. Main St., officers responded to a report of a person refusing to leave the store.

Mercer, who had an active criminal trespass warning issued to him barring him from the property, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, a class B misdemeanor. Mercer is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

Crispin Gonzales, 31, of Taylor, at 4:44 p.m., in the 4900 block of FM 619, officers apprehended Gonzales, who had an outstanding warrant out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division for fail to appear-organized criminal activity, a state jail felony.

Gonzales received a $613 fine.

JAN. 15

Augustine Salas, 34, of Taylor, at 10:35 a.m., in the 200 block of W. Lake Drive, officers conducted a traffic stop on Salas, who had four outstanding warrants for criminal mischief out of Karnes County, and three outstanding warrants for fail to maintain financial responsibility and two for no driver’s license.

Salas received bonds that total $4, 258.40 and was released to another agency Jan. 25.

JAN. 17

Shermetri Dilworth, 32, of Taylor, at 8:10 p.m., in the 500 block of Porter St., officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances. An investigation revealed Dilworth illegally gained entry into the residence. Dilworth was arrested and charged with criminal trespass of a habitation, a class A misdemeanor. Dilworth posted bond for $3,000 and was released Jan. 18.

JAN. 19

Jesse Trevino, 48, of Taylor, at 9 a.m., officers learned that Trevino had been arrested by another agency for an outstanding warrant for assault with injury/family violence, a class A misdemeanor. Trevino posted bond for $3,000 and was released the same day.

JAN. 21

Samuel Herrera, 20, of Taylor, at 7:11 p.m., in the 100 block of E. Seventh St., officers conducted a traffic stop on Herrera, who had an outstanding warrant out of Williamson County for driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. Herrera was arrested for the warrant. Herrera received a PR bond for $2,500 and was released Jan. 22.

Tiffany Lerma, 34, of Taylor, at 7:24 p.m., in the 500 block of Symes St., officers apprehended Lerma, who had an outstanding warrant out of Austin for child endangerment, a state jail felony. Lerma received a $20,000 bond and was released to another agency Jan. 26.

JAN. 22

Thomas Vega, 39, of Taylor, at 12:05 a.m., in the 200 block of W. Second St., officers apprehended Vega, who had two outstanding warrants for possession of dangerous drug out of Williamson County, and theft over $100 out of Georgetown.

Vega was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was further charged with possession of controlled substance, penalty group 1, over 1 gram, a third-degree felony. Vega is still in custody at the Williamson County Jail on bonds that total $15,000.

Belinda Burks, 42, of Taylor, at 4:30 a.m., at 500 Vance St., officers apprehended Burks, who had an outstanding warrant out of Round Rock for theft over $100, a class B misdemeanor.

Burks posted bonds that total $3,500 and was released Jan. 26.
