A two-vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Chandler Road closed the road Jan. 26 due to a hazmat situation caused by an overturned tanker.
“We do know it involves two vehicles, one of which was a fuel tanker truck,” said Gracie Perez, the public information officer for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. Officials at the scene said the accident caused a hazmat situation because the tanker was leaking fuel. Though Perez anticipated the road to be closed for an extended period for crews to complete the cleanup, roads were reopened Friday.
Perez said there was no information yet regarding injuries.
