Misso named to TSTC Board of Regents

WACO—Robert J. “Robb” Misso, III, of Cedar Park, has been appointed to Texas State Technical College’s Board of Regents by Gov.

WACO—Robert J. “Robb” Misso, III, of Cedar Park, has been appointed to Texas State Technical College’s Board of Regents by Gov. Greg Abbott for a term expiring on Aug. 31, 2023.

“TSTC has been very supportive of the manufacturing community helping to grow the skilled workforce,” Misso said. “I am excited to have the opportunity to add value to TSTC and the manufacturing community. Each skilled job created in Texas supports three to four jobs in the service community driving our economy.”

Misso is vice president of global operations for CelLink Corp. in Georgetown. He is a contributing writer and member of the Forbes Business Development Council and a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the John Maxwell Leadership Team.

He is also a founding board member of the Austin Regional Manufacturers Association and member of the Council of Advocates at TSTC’s East Williamson County campus.

“His industry knowledge, commitment to bridging the industry skills gap, and hiring students has helped us to align our initiatives with industry growth,” said Lissa Adams, provost of TSTC’s East Williamson County campus. “Robb will continue to serve our institution with the utmost integrity and service while helping us advance our mission to place more Texans in great paying jobs.”

Misso was founder and CEO of a semiconductor manufacturing company, Dynamic Manufacturing Solutions, that grew from a startup to a successful business, hiring hundreds of skilled team members supporting the growth of manufacturing in Central Texas.

In 2018, the company was awarded the Association of Corporate Growth Award as one of the fastest growing companies in the region.

Misso attended Radford University and the University of Colorado.

The nine-member Board of Regents serve six-year terms appointed by the governor.

The group meets quarterly to enact policies and provide leadership for the college consisting of 10 campuses statewide.

“Everything we do at TSTC is driven by our prime objective of providing a highly skilled workforce to Texas industrial employers,” said Michael Reeser, chancellor and CEO of TSTC. “So, having an industrial executive like Robb Misso join our board will help us maintain the highest standards of performance.”

Misso will finish the term of John Hatchel, who was reappointed to the board in February 2018 and passed away in 2022.
