Bryan E. Smith (Cowboy), 63, of Taylor, passed away Dec. 16, 2022.

Bryan was born Dec. 29, 1958, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to the late Ruth and Glenn Smith.

He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1977. He followed in his family footsteps in joining the military. He joined the army in February 1982, where he served with 101st Airborne for three years.

He met the love of his life while stationed at Fort Campbell, where he married Fanny (Ann) Dec. 17, 1983. They were married for 39 years.

Bryan was a selfemployed business man. As he would say, “I am jack of all trades but a master of none.”

He enjoyed working on his farm, loved talking about politics and enjoying the time he could with his family. He was also actively involved in the National Republican Congressional Community. He would take trips to meet with senators and other political representatives in Washington, D.C.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Glenn Smith; step mother, Maxine Smith; his oldest sister, Linda Mitzel; nephew, Eddie Mitzel; and three brothers-in-law, Gordy, Dan and Randy.

Bryan is survived by his spouse, Ann; their three children and two bonus children, Bryan 2nd, Eric, Ruth, Robert and Angles; his five sisters, Valerie, Sandy, Debbie, Jeanie and Sherrie; and two brothers, Larry and Doug.

He left behind five grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial service for Bryan will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home, 503 Talbot St. in Taylor. There will be a reception to follow.
