New year, more kindness

The most popular New Year's resolutions are about self-improvement. What if we all chose to be to be kinder to each other? Here are examples of what happens when people choose kindness.

Here are examples of what happens when people choose kindness.

“I've been off work for five fabulous days. I have been relaxing, running errands and pet sitting. Every single encounter has been extremely kind. I've had the blessing of people paying for my drink at Starbucks, twice! I've been thankful to be able to pay it forward, four times. Life is better when you are spreading kindness.”

Michelle Hagen “To the good Samaritan who found my bag on Gilmore Street and turned it in at the PD, thank you so much. Although, I still haven't figured out how I didn't see that big ole’ thing fall out when I was putting something in my truck. I'm just really happy to have my work ID back.”

Theresa Briones “Thank you, Starbucks Taylor, for making my pups day with a pup cup.”

Katie Titus Let’s fill this column with acts of kindness.

Good news submissions: I want to express my deepest appreciation to a very nice young man, David Mikeska, for helping me up when I fell in front of Sporting Goods. He not only helped me up, he’s also very strong, he walked me to the store and then waited for me.

David assisted me back down the steps and into my car. May many blessings be bestowed on him.

Thank you again, Pam Clark On Sunday, Nov. 27, my daughter was returning to her home in the Houston area and a had a flat tire on south Highway 95, and a very nice young Taylor policeman stopped and advised her to leave her vehicle for her safety until assistance arrived because her vehicle was on a curve and with heavy traffic there was a possibility her vehicle could get hit. We failed to get his name, but hopefully he will read this and know how much we appreciate his help and thoughtfulness.
