Fireworks still prohibited

There is not a fireworks ban or burn ban in place for unincorporated areas of Williamson County; however, fireworks are not permitted in Williamson County parks.

Consumer fireworks can be dangerous when used improperly, causing serious burns and eye injuries. Same rules apply in Hutto

HUTTO – The city of Hutto wants to remind people that they can enjoy fireworks, just not in the city limits.

It is illegal to buy, sell or light fireworks of any kind in Hutto city limits and within 5,000 feet outside city limits. This is a misdemeanor and may result in a citation.

If someone is lighting fireworks in an area where it is legal, it is recommended to do so outside on a flat surface far away from homes or buildings.
