TBC will close out their six-plusyear- run at the corner of Second and Main Streets with a familiar face.

“One of our bar managers from the past is going to come back, and he is deejaying,” said Megan Klein, a co-owner of the Texas Beer Company. “Cort Geis was our bar manager for several years, and he kind of got us going and led a bunch of events, and so we are excited to bring him back for that night. He will be a familiar face.”

In addition, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Davis Barbecue will be selling their fare, and TBC will be offering soft pretzels and sandwiches.

“It should be a fun evening,” Klein said. “And we always do a champagne toast at midnight.”

The music venue will host a nocover charge New Year’s Eve party beginning at 8 p.m., with music from Scarlet’s Eyes, and will also be hosting a champagne toast at midnight. In addition, Greenhouse Craft Foods will be offering specials and extended hours.

“We are going to keep the kitchen open later for sure, because even now there is not that much food downtown, so on New Year’s Eve we will keep the kitchen open late, and do some upscale New Year’s Eve type specials,” said Chef Rob Snow.
