Time is running out to nominate the person you believe is an asset to the community. The Taylor Rotary Club is still accepting nomination for the Outstanding Citizen of the Year.
The deadline for nomination is Dec. 9. To get copy of the nomination form, contact Stone at [email protected] or Committee Chair Brian Gray at [email protected].
The award will be presented by Rotarian Brian Gray Jan. 17 at the Chamber and Community Awards Banquet.
“Taylor Rotarians have coordinated this honor since 1943, when Harry Pickoff won it the first time,” Club President Tia Rae Stone said. “This annual award is a statement about our community and its values, we could not choose the recipient without the help of the public.”
To be considered, nominees must have resided in East Williamson County and be involved in local activities in 2022. He or she must have been engaged in a variety of community activities over an extended period of time and must be generally recognized as a caring and sharing person who donated his or her time and talents for the betterment of the community.
“A person can only win this award once,” Stone said. “It is a very high honor.”
