Every third Thursday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open past 5 until 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to shop locally and become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.

Loud & Gaudy Ugly Sweater Party Friday, Dec. 9 — Wilco Art Lab will host an ugly sweater party from 6 to 9 p.m. at the studio, located on the second floor of Old Taylor High, 410 W Seventh St. There will be an ornament making station for $5 for all ages, a free letter to Santa station, plus a contest with prizes for the ugliest, most creative, most festive, cutest, funniest and best couple sweaters.
