Esther Arellano Walton, 56, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022. She was surrounded by family at her home.

Esther was born April 11, 1965, in Austin, to Jose and Rosa Arellano.

Esther was raised in Manor, where she graduated from Manor High School in 1983. Esther and David met while at work in 1985 and would marry in 1991.

Esther was the mother to Eric and Michael. She raised her children with love, compassion and devotion in Taylor, with her husband David. The family lived in Taylor for 27 years before moving into their dream home in Pflugerville.

She worked various positions within the city of Taylor over the past 21 years, where she was able to use her passion for helping people on a daily basis. She received so much joy helping to plan and participate in city events. Throughout her career she was able to make many lifelong friends.

During her yearlong battle with cancer she showed her family what a true warrior spirit was. As the family navigated this journey together, she inspired them with her sheer determination to not let the disease slow her down.

While most people would be bedridden during chemo treatment, Esther never skipped a beat as she continued to work, celebrate life events and spend time with everyone she loves.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Walton; and their two sons, Eric Walton and wife, Ana, and Michael Walton and fiancé, Natalie. She is also survived by her parents, Jose and Rosa Arellano; brothers, Ben Arellano and wife, Terri, Joe Arellano and wife, Deinnys, and Phillip Arellano and wife, Rebecca.

Viewing and rosary services will be held Thursday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Manor. Funeral services will be held Friday Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph’s. Burial will follow at Manor City Cemetery.

A celebration of life event will take place following the burial at the Manor Lions Club.

Arrangements entrusted to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
