Jean Marilyn Money, of Big Spring, passed away Jan. 30, 2022.
Jean was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Dallas, to Purley Gratan Willis and Alice Pauline Streich Willis. She married Andrew Eiben and they had five children together and lived on the family farm in Coupland.
After leaving that area, she moved to Odessa. Then in May of 1970, she married Wilson Money. Later they moved to Big Spring where she retired from the Pathology Department at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. She was able to
She was able to devote her time and enjoyed painting and being involved with the art center in Big Spring. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting and was part of the quilting group in Big Spring. Jean was involved in her church serving in whatever they needed her to do.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, her first husband Andrew Eiben, second husband Wilson Money, and grandson Jeremy Eiben.
She is survived by her five children, Gratan Eiben and wife Diane of Iowa Park, Willis Eiben of Big Spring, Hope Eiben Galloway and husband Jerry of Austin, Carter Eiben of Coupland, and Lloyd Eiben and wife Roxeanne of Midland; grandchildren, Wendy McDonald, Layla and Mosby Hamilton Jr., Jennifer Sanders, Joshua Eiben, Stacy and Cy Turner, Heather and Jeffrey Hopper, Lyndsay Eiben, Matt Eiben NS Christopher Eiben; and numerous greatgrandchildren .
A visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home. Services will be Feb. 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Episcopal in Big Spring. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards IPH hospice staff and the Austin Retirement and Nursing Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Big Spring.
