“There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.”
People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect on the things they’re thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems.
Living your life with gratitude helps you notice the little things like a stranger holding the door for you, the perfect weather for an outdoor event or the friendly service you have received from your waiter. Each of these small moments create a sense of well-being that, over time, strengthens your ability to notice the good.
Here is an easy way to practice gratitude.
Get a journal and establish a daily practice to write about three things you are grateful for. Try not to repeat the same things on the following days. In less than a year, your journal will be filled with over a thousand happy moments that were filled with gratitude.
You will also have rewired your brain to look for the good.
What are you grateful for today?
Write it down.
Remember to send us your good news stories and shoutouts. You can either submit it to the Taylor Press: Attention Good News, 211 W.
Third Street, Taylor, TX 76574, or post to the Facebook page Good News Taylor Made.
Always remember there is goodness everywhere and kindness matters.
