Downtown was fully loaded and gassed up Saturday welcoming visitors from all over.
The fifth annual Taylor Main Street Carshow was the biggest in the event’s history. Originally, 500 cars pre-registered for the event, however, at least 400 more showed up when the show opened.
According to councilman Robert Garcia, who helped coordinate the carshow, the first vehicle arrived at 1:45 a.m. Saturday. When Garcia arrived at 4 a.m. to get things set up, at least 30 more vehicles had already arrived and was in their reserved space.
Due to the extra participants, space became limited in the downtown area. The carshow had more than 1,000 cars participate.
In addition to the lack of space for vehicles, vendors began to run out of food and drinks for people in attendance.
