The Chamber is digging into the planning of the annual Chamber and Community Awards banquet. “Building on a Strong Foundation” is the theme, and the event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Williamson County Expo Center.

The banquet is Taylor’s premier leadership event as it highlights the community’s most-accomplished businesses, dignitaries and

volunteers. “It’s a time for leaders from across the community, whether they are elected, business-related or volunteer to come together and celebrate Taylor’s future,” said Tia Rae Stone, the president of Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce.

The planning committee is led by Deborah Parker of Citizens Bank.

“This is just always such a wonderful community event,” Parker said. “It’s a chance for us to celebrate together and to look forward to Taylor’s future.” Sponsorships, which are the only way to reserve seats together, are available. Platinum sponsors may reserve tables for 10 and receive a variety of signs and other benefits throughout the evening for $1500. A gold sponsor reserves a table for 10 for $750 and silver sponsors reserve five seats at a shared table for $450. All sponsors will be recognized in the program and on table signs.

Sponsor reservation tickets are available at the Chamber, 1519 N. Main. St. or by calling 512-352-6364. Individual tickets go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 1, for $50 each. Ticket and sponsor sales must end on Jan. 6 to get proper numbers to the caterer. The first hour of the event will feature beer, wine and snacks as time for guests to meet and network with one another. The program will begin at 7 p.m. and end by 9 p.m. and will include a variety of awards including citizen of the year, and chamber awards recognizing the volunteers and businesses that make the chamber strong.

Working with Parker to construct the décor and other aspects of the banquet are Tiffany Herrera, incoming Chamber Chair Ebby Green, Tammy Eulenfeld, Laurie Gerberding of Trust Texas Bank, Loretta Patschke, Charlotte Albert, Stacey Smith, Ella Jez, Harry Brooks and Rhonda Redden.
