Applications and donations sought for Operation Red Santa

The Taylor Fire Department and the Taylor Professional Firefighters Association are teaming up to offer the Red Santa Program to ensure Taylor-area children have toys for Christmas and their families have food for a holiday dinner. Families in need of help this holiday season are encouraged to apply in person from 2:30 -4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, and from 9 to 11 a.m Friday, Oct. 28. at the Fire Department Parking Lot, 304 E.

The Taylor Fire Department and the Taylor Professional Firefighters Association are teaming up to offer the Red Santa Program to ensure Taylor-area children have toys for Christmas and their families have food for a holiday dinner. Families in need of help this holiday season are encouraged to apply in person from 2:30 -4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, and from 9 to 11 a.m Friday, Oct. 28. at the Fire Department Parking Lot, 304 E.

Third St. Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis and only on the days listed. Please bring proof of residency, which includes a photocopy of your Driver’s License and a photocopy of a recent utility bill and have time for a short interview with a program manager to determine eligibility.

In addition, parents must be available to pick up gifts at 8 a.m. Station 1, 200 Washburn St., between 8 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24.

Please note: Anyone who has received assistance from Red Santa for two consecutive years is not eligible to apply.

Donations of unwrapped gifts for the Red Santa Program can be dropped off at the Taylor Fire Department Administrative Office, 304 E. Third St., or at any fire station in Taylor. For More Information, please call 512-352-6992.
